Fallen Walls believes that because of Jesus Christ there are no more barriers. By interacting with the city we will build leaders , help the needy , host radical events and field outreaches all to proclaim this truth to the urban/Metropolitan community.
Vision Statement
Fallen Walls believes that by taking the Gospel message of reconciliation to the heart of the city the Church will come together in unity and step out in faith to see the whole city – from the youngest, poorest homeless children to the most influential businesspeople or government officials – changed by the barrier-breaking truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This will create a better atmosphere for all those in and around our urban communities, as well as reflect the lordship of Jesus Christ, bringing about change in the way people think, work, and live.
Statement of the Problem
Memphis is said to be one of the most violent cities in the U.S. The city's goal is to be recognized for entertainment. People come to the downtown area to fulfill pleasures and desires. Events such as boxing, concerts, music festivals and Memphis in May bring more and more people to the city every year. While this is good for the city of Memphis financially and socially, it unfortunately brings with it violence, gambling and drugs. Additionally, there are many churches in Memphis that have constructed doctrinal walls which stop them from coming together to proclaim the Kingdom of God.
Our Solution
And you will be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and Samara, and even to the remotest parts of earth. “(Acts 1:8)” The downtown area of Memphis is filled with people who need to know they have an option for eternity. We are commanded to tell of the love of Jesus Christ and what he has done for us. The purpose of Fallen Walls is to proclaim the Kingdom of God in the downtown area. We will provide spiritual and physical support to the poor and to those who have not yet experienced the love of Christ. Fallen Walls is also concerned with connecting individual congregations as one Church under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. In this the downtown area will be changed dramatically.
